September Travels

Welcome to September!

Every year towards the end of summer, my heart dad and I plan a special trip. This year is of no exception. But, what makes this year different is that it includes an anticipated visit with one of my dearest, closest friends on DeviantART and beyond – our very own ikazon. Throughout the years, I have had the honor and joy of meeting several deviants on my cross county travels. One of the first deviants I had the pleasure of talking with, on two special occasions, was my sweet friend AGMeade. She is as lovely and beautiful in person as she is here, and I treasured the time we spent together sharing memories of people and things that brought us joy. And, I cannot forget that my first Utah adventure also included a wonderful dinner, with my then fellow Literature Gallery Moderator, fllnthblnk. He has such a big heart, and I felt that in meeting him – and his lovely, close-knit family.

This past year, while on my southwest tour, I was overjoyed to meet another dear friend. But where to begin with the wonderful Memnalar? He is kind and charming. There is a down-to-earth sweetness appeal about him that many within our growing Literature community have perhaps had the pleasure of seeing on one occasion or another. His wife LlyrentheShrew and their son Noah were equally as sweet, and I enjoyed our finished-too-soon dinner. But, their wonderful company made the two-hour drive to and from towards Corpus Christi worth it.

And now, I will finally have the opportunity to make the journey to see Disneyland, spending some cherished time with one of the few (rare) deviants here who – without a doubt – has been one of my strongest supporters and most loyalist of friends, since day one. I have much to be thankful for as far as DeviantART is concerned, since the community brought us together as friends, and also to moonbeam13 and GeneratingHype. If it weren't for my having an interest in moderating the Literature gallery, and our resident Monkey's interest in Literature – our two paths may not have ever crossed. There is a somewhat long story to be shared, but, for now, I believe that he and others that I cherish as friends here, know how much of an impact they have made on me during my seven devious years, while sharing my joy of writing and art. And, as I travel on in the exciting years ahead, I look forward to many, many more adventures.



For those not as acquainted with me, my journal is a wonderful place to find some tidbits about what is going on in the Literature world.
